Shawn Williams and Doug Basegio came together to form their San Francisco Bay Area chocolate company Au Coeur Des Chocolats, in a dream to create the best chocolate truffles and confections in the world. Their name comes from their main purpose: to get "at the heart of chocolates" and share that with their customers. These were no ordinary starry-eyed men. Doug had several highly-successful local bakeries under his belt and was the head of the baking and pastry department at the Professional Culinary Institute. Shawn had an obsessively dedicated streak to learn anything and everything about chocolate (just ask his wife), which led him from a career as a pastry chef to work for and study chocolate under one of the best in the field. Their combined experience and uncompromising commitment to quality and flavor make the products of Au Coeur Des Chocolats stand apart in the sea of competitors. You will find all their products not only unbelievably flavorful, delicious to the palette and perfect in texture, but also a piece of artwork for the eye.
